Because Hallyu star Song Joong-ki is the most popular actor now in China and South Korea, following the blockbuster success of “Descendants of the Sun,” more offers would surely come his way. As it is, he is deluged with offers to do commercials for TV and print, while advertisements he has done keep coming out one after the other, the latest of which is his bromance commercial for Domino’s Pizza with Park Bo Gum.

Along with the rain of commercials and income are intrigues and rumor about his love life and career. On Thursday, Soompi reported of speculations spreading that Song Joong-ki would leave Blossom Entertainment, his talent agency, and he has allegedly signed up with a Chinese entertainment agency.

The alleged contract was worth 20 billion won ($17.3 million). The rumor was sparked by a report of a news outlet that claimed the 30-year-old actor was discussing a contract with a powerful Chinese agency to handle his career in China where Song Joong-ki has a lot of offers to endorse products.

In response to the speculations, Blossom Entertainment released a statement saying, “We checked the reports. There is no truth to the contents of the reports. It is not true at all.”

Song Joong-ki’s trillion-won income since the conclusion of the 16-episode “Descendants of the Sun” has been the recent point of comparison between the actor and “Boys Over Flowers” star Kim Hyun Joong who blamed the scandal with his ex-girlfriend, Ms. Choi, for his waning popularity and loss of income which could have been as high as Song Joong-ki’s.

Kim Hyun Joong’s loss is Song Joong-ki’s gain. After his Domino’s bromance photo came out on Tuesday, the actor’s latest print ad for Proya cosmetics was released on Thursday in a Facebook page for his Thai fans. He has an existing contract to endorse the Chinese beauty brand worth 4 billion won.
