Brazil, currently ranked seventh in the world by FIFA, routed lowly team Haiti, 7-1, at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando during the previous matchday to notch their first victory of the tourney, as per ESPN.
It was a decisive win for head coach Dunga's side after they were held to a goalless draw by Ecuador in their tournament opener last Saturday.
Liverpool winger Philippe Coutinho led the Canarinhos' charge with a hat trick, scoring at the 14th, 29th, and in injury time. Los Amarillos striker Enner Valencia, who is currently suited up for Premier League team West Ham United, scored one at the 39th minute to cut the deficit to one at the break. Ecuador finally leveled the count at the 48th with a goal from striker Miler Bolaños off an assist from Swansea City's Jefferson Montero to salvage the draw and share a point in the overall standings.
The winner of this match will advance in this summer's quarterfinals and Dunga's boys are the favorites to prevail in a hard-fought contest.
The predicted result is a tough 2-1 victory for Brazil.
