It was earlier this year when the top grossing R-rated film of all time, "Deadpool," was shown on the big screen. In regards to the sequel of the blockbuster movie, reports are loud that Ed Skrein may have revealed the villain of the next installment.
According to Christian Times, Skrein, who played the villain Ajax in the first installment, said that "Deadpool 2" is going to be more interesting if Taskmaster would be the next antagonist of the upcoming movie. The actor added that seeing Wade Wilson/Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) and Taskmaster fighting each other is a hilarious thing. Skrein also said that although the two are both mercenaries, the only barrier that separates them is their moral values, where Deadpool was said to value morality while Taskmaster does not care about that.
The same publication also noted that Olivia Munn, who played Psylocke in the latest "X-Men" film, said that it would be awesome if "Deadpool" and "X-Men" would have a crossover. The actress added that including Deadpool with the other "X-Men" characters is a cool thing to see. She also said that a possible title of the crossover movie is called "X-Force."
On the other hand, according to Games Radar, the first "Deadpool" movie was almost destroyed if it pursued the PG-13 rating. The writer of the film, Rhett Reese, revealed on an interview that Fox asked them to write a version of the movie based on the PG-13 platform, and because of this, they had to reduce the things that were not accepted that includes the sexual scenes and language content.
Reese also added that the PG-13 and R version are not that different to each other. However, they thought that it would not be the best idea to force a PG-13 version, which is why they stuck in the original plan and continued in doing the rated-R version of the film.
As of the moment, there has been no confirmation yet regarding the release date of "Deadpool 2," but rumor has it that the sequel will likely be released in 2017.
