'God of War 4' confirmed release date?; Sony in E3 event failed to give specifics

"God of War 4" release date was one of the most anticipated announcements during the massive PlayStation show at the E3 event in Los Angeles Convention Center. However, despite the clamor for the release date and other relevant information, the exclusive PlayStation game failed to produce specific details of the game's release.

Despite the apparent dominance of Sony during the duration of the game expo, it failed to push its exclusive game developer, Santa Monica Studios, to produce particular details regarding "God of War 4" release date. The so-called apocalyptic chanting of the crowd, sounding "God of War" was in a way ineffective, for the all-important release date was non-existent up to the last minute, according to Forbes.

It has been six years since the release of "God of War 3" for PlayStation 3, since then various rumors circulated, starting from release date info down to game features and character involvement. In the previous months, it has been strongly speculated that 2017 or 2018 are to be considered as the most probable coherent timeline for the release of the would be "GW4."

However, during the E3 event, discussion of release was not highlighted for "God of War's" next installment, but many experts and gaming enthusiasts believe that the wait will not be that longer than most rumors suggested.

The release date for the next chapter "God of War" will likely be set on 2017, for game developer Santa Monica Studios, had a massive job opening to strengthen their workforce and hasten job completion, according to FragHero. It has been reported that the "God of War" developer was hiring 50 developers, thus expecting a much shorter working period and an earlier release, possibly in 2017.

With relevance to other game queries and the rumored change of focus from Greek mythology to Norse myths, previous rumors got it right when GW4's trailer was revealed. The said trailer showcased the new look of the main character Kratos having beard improvement and a son whom he tries to teach hunting in a snowy environment.

Many believed that the inclusion of a child in the storyline will be a core ingredient for another exciting adventure. Thus, making fans more eager for the release of the next chapter of "God of War," but for now they would have to contend themselves on the hypothesized 2017 release date until official confirmation is released.
