"Dead Rising 4" sees the return of original protagonist Frank West in a Colorado mall to hunt and slay zombies.

"Dead Rising 4" has been finally revealed at the E3 2016 conference that confirms the return of series protagonist Frank West. CAPCOM and Microsoft unveiled the game's official trailer that features incredible weapons such as flamethrowing triceratops head and armors. It is slated for a holiday 2016 release date.

The game follows the battle of photojournalist West in a Colorado shopping mall with the dead and now it is returning in a special Christmas setting. The holiday background coincides with the game's official release date which is scheduled in December 2016.

Initially launched for Xbox 360 in 2006, Capcom had been successful in offering an open world game that eradicates a zombie threat.  With the producer's aggressive move to offer new tactics for its huge fanbase, it brought powerful weapon such as Mega Man blaster.

This time, "Dead Rising 4" features deadly weapons, including a candy cane shooting crossbow, a mega machine gun and a truck that shoots zombies. It is anticipated that its signature Dead Rising weapon will be seen in the gameplay, including a co-op mode that was first introduced in "Dead Rising 3." Microsoft and Capcom have no official statement yet if the co-op will support cross-play since it will be released on both Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One.

The trailer shows West driving, hunting and shooting zombies around the location. It also confirms a return to the Willamette Parkview Mall, where the previous series took place. One thing that was not confirmed in the trailer is whether protagonists, Nick Ramos or Chuck Greene would be returning in the sequel, Den of Geek reported.

One special feature of the game is that it permits players to craft body mods. This feature differs from the previous "Dead Rising 3" that gives the players the chance to craft vehicles.

"Dead Rising 3 lets you craft vehicles," Game Rant quoted "Dead Rising 4" executive producer Joe Nickolls as saying. "In Dead Rising 4, you can essentially craft yourself."

"Dead Rising 4" will be available for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs on Christmas time. Microsoft may include the gameplay in its reported Project Helix that would release all its flagship titles across PC and Xbox One.
