The NBA trade rumors pile up as the 2016 NBA Draft nears. There is a big chance that of lottery picks changing hands.
There is only one team with two lottery picks this year and that's the Phoenix Suns. They have the 4th pick (their own) and also the 13th pick (from Washington Wizards). There could be a chance that they make a major trade on draft day.
An intriguing angle for Phoenix is that star guard Eric Bledsoe could be on the move, and the Suns are well within draft range to acquire a replacement. According to Bright Side of the Sun, the team is intrigued with Kris Dunn who has already mentioned that he did not want to be drafted by the Suns or Celtics because they are crowded at the point guard position.
However, recent rumors have developed that Bledsoe's camp may want out of the team. The possibility of an actual trade developing is undetermined at this point, but in that event, Dunn could change his mind.
The rumor about Bledsoe's possible trade request came from a NBA Draft.net.
If Bledsoe would want a trade, the usual suspect would be the Cleveland Cavaliers because of agent Rich Paul and his connection with LeBron James. However, with the stellar play of Kyrie Irving in the NBA Finals, it's doubtful that the Cavs would even consider trading him.
One team that badly needs a point guard is the Philadelphia 76ers and they do have trade chips to send as they are shopping both Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel. The Suns could make a choice between the two although they have Tyson Chandler and Alex Len at the center spot. The Sixers also have lower second round picks and future picks that the Suns could consider.
Another possible trade partner for Eric Bledsoe would be the Sacramento Kings. The Kings need a point guard with Rajon Rondo most likely leaving and they don't figure to be contenders in the thin pool of point guards in the free agent market.
According to Sporting News, the Kings have coveted Bledsoe since last year because of his connection with DeMarcus Cousins. The two were teammates in Kentucky in their lone college season.
The Kings could dangle their 8th overall pick this year but they could have other assets to offer like Ben McLemore, Omri Casspi or even Rudy Gay.
