Mass Effect: Andromeda is an upcoming action role-playing third-person shooter video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Publisher Titan Books has recently announced that there will be several spin-off novels based on the Mass Effect series and it would help bridge the gap between the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda and the trilogy.

Bioware has already confirmed the setting for the new ME videogame and it would be taking a leap forward from where Shepard left off. No explanation has been given as to how it happened and the game itself may not dive into the details.

Titan Books told Eurogamer: "The novels will act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga. They will focus on key characters and answer the many questions fans have been asking," explained publisher."

Marketing for the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda video game title has been slowly picking up. The Mass Effect 4D Theme Park at a California amusement park even opened and it is geared to give visitors a taste of what they can expect in the new sequel releasing next year.

The first novelization titled Mass Effect: Andromeda Initiative is expected to be released this August, Polygon reported. It will be written by known sci-fi author N.K. Jemisin who also wrote the Inheritance Trilogy.

Three more spin-off novels based on the upcoming video game title are still expected to be rolled out but no authors and titles have been confirmed yet for two of them. The first two will be rolled out in March and September 2017 while the last one will be out by March 2018.

Mac Walters, the creative director for Mass Effect: Andromeda, will be the one who will be penning the final novelization of the series. The subtitle is not yet decided on yet.

Titan Books will also publish three more novelizations for the sleeper hit Dishonored this year. There will also be a spinoff novel for the events between Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is expected to be released in March 2017 after the previous delay in the release date. It will be available for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the Windows PC.
