Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson attends 'Power' Season 3 New York Premiere at SVA Theatre on June 22, 2016 in New York City.

Rapper 50 Cent was reportedly arrested on Saturday (June 25) shortly after his concert in the Caribbean island of St. Kitts after uttering profanities onstage during his set, which is illegal in the country.

According to TMZ, the "In Da Club" hitmaker was booked on charges of using indecent language in public after using swear words such as "motherf---in" while performing his hit "P.I.M.P."

The gossip website added that 50 Cent, whose actual name is Curtis Jackson, was warned against using coarse language and even though the DJ did not play a clean, profanity-free version of the 2003 track at the St. Kitts music festival, the rapper didn't hold back and uttered the curse words then they were broadcasted over the speakers instead of avoiding them, prompting authorities to place him as well as a member of his entourage under arrest.

According to Jackson's rep, he was only supposed to host the event initially but then the organizers asked him to perform and the rapper agreed. Unfortunately, the DJ at the music festival did not have an uncensored version of the song, because of which the profanities were used during the performance.

"The show was a great success and he will make sure for future trips to St. Kitts that he leaves the 'motherf*****s' in the United States," the rep told Rolling Stone.

This is not the first time a rapper has been arrested over the usage of coarse language in the former British colony. In 2003, DMX was also booked for using obscenities on stage in front of a crowd of about 3,000 people during a concert at the annual music festival, which is a misdemeanor in the Caribbean nation.

Like DMX, 50 Cent was forced to pay a fine before being released and is expected to appear in court on Monday to face the charge.

The rapper later took to social media to make fun of his arrest. "What you in 4 MURDER all I said was mother**ker. LMAO #FRIGO," he captioned a photo of his alter ego Kanan wearing a prison uniform on Instagram.

The rapper can be seen using the foul language in fan-captured video footage (below) taken during the gig:
