Police Office 2 Mariano Perez Flormata Jr., also known as Neil Perez, 29, of the Philippines won the Mister International 2014-2015 beauty pageant, which was held at the Inter-Burgo Hotel Ballroom in Ansan, South Korea on Valentine's Day.
Right after the coronation night, Mister International immediately took to Facebook to announce the official results.
Other winners of the Mister International 2014-2015, which is the 9th edition of Mister International pageant, are first runner-up Rabih El Zein from Lebanon, second runner-up Tomáš Dumbrovský from Czech Republic, third runner-up Rafał Maślak from Poland and fourth runner-up Mitja Nadizar from Slovenia.
Mister Brazil Matheus Martins, Mister Japan Masakazu Hashimoto, Mister Korea Youngho Park, Mister Mexico Alejandro Valencia and Mister Thailand Vittawat Srikes made it to Top 10 while Mister Colombia David Angel, Mister Guam Richard Johnson, Mister Indonesia Kevin Hendrawan, Mister Myanmar Aung Chan Mya and Mister Puerto Rico Christian Ortiz made it to Top 15.
Special Awards winners are Mister Poland as People's Choice, Mister Korea as Most Stylish Award, Mister Colombia as Mister Congeniality, Mister Japan as Mister Photogenic and Mister China Shi Yu Quan as Best National Costume awardee.
Mister International 2013-2014 title holder José Anmer Paredes of Venezuela passed the crown to Perez, who bested 28 other contestants from different countries around the world.
Two days before the coronation night, Mister International held its preliminaries, which showcased the candidates in their national costumes, formal wear and swim wear.
Prior to the competition, Perez said he was dedicating his Mister International participation to the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) commandos who were killed in Maguindanao, Philippines on Jan. 25, Rappler has learned.
A bomb and explosives technician with the Philippine National Police Aviations Security Group, Perez said 7 of the killed policemen were his batch mates in the police academy. He won Mister International Philippines in September 2014.
