Park Yoo Chun was accused of rape and the case is getting more intense as three more women came forward to charge the singer with the same offense. The investigation has started but the authorities lamented that they find it hard to proceed because Park's party is not cooperating as they should.
On June 20, the police summoned Park's agency CEO Baek Chang Joo for questioning. The following day, on June 21, the CEO's father and some of his acquaintances were also called for inquest . However, the police cannot do a follow-up investigation because they alleged that the respondent's side are exhibiting uncooperative behaviors, AllKpop reported.
The police warned that if the defendants will continue to behave this way, refusing to cooperate, they might request the court for issuance of arrest warrants. Once the investigation for Park's side is over, the singer will be called next to answer the allegations against him.
It was said that C-JeS Entertainment's CEO also filed countersuit against Lee, the first woman who accused Park of rape. The plaintiff's boyfriend and another man who was only identified as Hwang were also included in the blackmail and defamation case lodged by Baek.
Hwang claims to be Lee's cousin and the police revealed that this man has been in their watch list for three years now. The authorities have been suspecting Hwang of being a member of a notorious gang based in Ilsan.
Investigators are looking for other individuals that may also be involved in this legal proceeding. Currently, Park and Lee's party were given a hold departure order from court. The travel ban was issued on June 24 and they can be arrested if they try to leave the country. Seize and search warrants were handed down to four business establishments as well, Star News reported.
In their previous statement, C-JeS Entertainment vowed that they will actively cooperate in the investigations to get to the bottom of the problem. They also confidently stated that Park is innocent and the results of the investigation will prove it.
