The LG G5 advert installs 120 cameras to plot Jason Statham’s head and capture many of his facial expressions with lighting to have masks for doubles later.

Ad firm BBDO and South Korean tech giant LG Electronics have Jason Statham in an action scene for a commercial. A scene in the two-minute film includes a creepy one with several heads of Statham following the actor fighting his way through the streets.

The LG G5 smartphone commercial shows a world where everyone was Jason Statham. The Hollywood suave and action hero showed his acting repertoire in the advert of LG's new G5 smartphone released in April. He took various roles for the commercial film, showing versatility and crashing from frame to frame as his countenance was imposed on several bodies.

The "Transporter" actor was a busty dancing brunette, a baby, an action star and all. He was a motorcyclist running past on fire, still a daredevil action hero. He showed his many looks and trademark stunts to highlight the capabilities of the electronic company's new phone in the promo clip.

The 48-year-old English actor's body-hopping and face-swapping features of the surreal commercial intend to promote LG G5's unique modular design, according to Mail Online. Such smartphone feature allows the user to turn the phone into a gadget. Its modular aspect and interchangeable battery makes it possible for seamless switching between various functions.

Statham acted as every single person in the action scenes. To do that, LG and BBDO initially installed 120 cameras to plot every inch of Statham's head and capture many of his facial angles and expressions with lighting to have masks for doubles later. They would use them to cast every single character in the background as Statham himself, sans much motion picture, according to Fstoppers.

The action star and his stunt double would act each scene several times in each position. They were fighting each other which were then mapped to only Statham's face, or replaced every single character with Statham.

The concept was to come up with someone fighting themselves or do so with a clone in any form. A scene includes a quick glimpse of a baby in a stroller, which was seemingly out of place, but worked anyway.
