Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is Set for Major Design and Feature Revamps

Ahead of the holiday weekend, shoppers will find the existing MacBook Pro and Air 2016 models cheaper by up to $300 due to numerous 4th of July killer deals dangled by Apple authorized resellers. The 13-inch MBA is on sale for as low as $899 while the 13-inch MBP comes with a $150 price off, which for many Apple fans are solid indicators that the MacBook Pro 2016 release date is near.

The 13-inch MacBook Air 2015 that is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 processing chip and 4GB of RAM with 256GB flash storage is shedding $300 from its current selling price of $1199. According to Apple Insider, the discounted sticker price from B&H is the lowest seen so far for the specific MBA configuration and the deal is further sweetened by the free expedited shipping (buyer can receive the unit in 24 hours in some cases) and the likelihood of no sales tax, depending on delivery destination.

The same B&H deal applies on more powerful 13-inch MacBook Airs but as expected the cash required will be slightly higher or up to $1349 for the 2.2GHz/8GB/256GB configuration. The unit comes with a $100 price off plus a bundled gift.

B&H is also pushing out the 13-inch MacBook Pro for only $1650 or $150 shaved off from the latest selling price. Buyers will get the MBP with a 2.9GHz Intel Core i5 chip that is tapped on 8GB of RAM. The internal memory is listed as 512GB of flash storage.

And like the 13-inch MBA deals, this MBP package will ship out quick at no cost and free of sales.

Apple Insider noted that all units on the table are protected by warranty, the coverage of which can be extended via Apple Care that is discounted as well.

In the past months, the MacBook line has been the subject of compelling deals that only fuel the speculations of imminent for both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. However, it's more likely that the latter will be getting a 2016 sequel as analysts have been saying that the new build and design of the upgraded MBPs will render them as Apple's new ultraportables. The MacBook Pro 2016 will be slimmer and lighter than ever that the MacBook Air is likely to be discontinued.

But a report from Japanese blog MacOtakara claimed that the MacBook Air 2016 will still touchdown but with minor specs bumps. Unpacking is reportedly set not later than August.

Then following next is the MacBook Pro 2016 release date, which according to well-known Apple watcher Ming-chi Kuo is happening in the last quarter of the year or October as the earliest commercial debut for the MacOS Sierra-powered laptop.
