Ubisoft has openly said that they will be providing full support for the upcoming Nintendo NX with a release date on March 2017 which could mean that more titles can be expected from the developer.

Not every developer is excited for the Nintendo NX considering that there have been little details regarding the new console. Nintendo even went as far as to say that they will be competing with the PlayStation Neo and the Xbox Scorpio with content and not with the power of their hardware.

Both critics and fans are starting to doubt Nintendo's strategy once again as they seemed to have come down the same path with their previous consoles. While they do have a unique set of games that most people love, they were not enough for the Wii U to soar in sales and stand up to the current PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Now, the developer for Watchdogs and Rayman Legends is saying that they will be supporting Nintendo's new console as they once supported the Wii U. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot sad in an interview with Game Informer that they will support the Nintendo NX and that the company was "one of the best partners in the world," Nintendo Enthusiast has learned.

Ubisoft is also one of the first developers to announce a game for the Nintendo NX. They have revealed weeks earlier that they will be launching the new Just Dance 2017 game for the said console.

However, there have been no other AAA titles confirmed by Ubisoft for the Xbox Scorpio and the PlayStation Neo competitor. The reveal of the Watchdogs 2 at E3 2016 did not mention support for the Nintendo NX.

Square Enix did also announced that they will be making new Dragon Quest games for Nintendo NX, Forbes reported. Besides that, there have been no games announced that would hint at the capabilities of the console.

Nintendo has also said that they have no plans for VR right now as they are focusing on the launch of their new console. It could also mean that the console does not have the required horsepower to run VR titles as Microsoft said their Xbox Scorpio will be able to dish out 6 TFLOps on launch.

The Nintendo NX specs and features are expected to be revealed at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2016 in September. Ubisoft could announce more games, hopefully some from the Assassins Creed and Far Cry franchises, in the following months if they really support the console as they have said.
