Many fans want Roman Reigns to turn heel and his suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy would be a great way to make him a bad guy. However, the latest rumors suggest that the WWE is not planning to turn Roman heel, instead they are giving him a redemption storyline once he returns from suspension.

The WWE suspended Reigns for 30 days on June 21 after first wellness violation. It is very shocking news that must have been a PR nightmare for the company. He was the WWE champion when he failed the drug test, causing a title change in the process.

According to Cageside Seats, Vince McMahon and top WWE officials were frustrated with Reigns because of his violation but they have not lost faith in him. There are no plans to turn him heel and they will continue to use his "polarizing" character in his return.

Another rumored plan for Reigns is a redemption story that will see him lose his confidence and create sympathy in order for the fans to cheer him on. However, it should be noted that the WWE has failed to get him over for the past couple of years.

Still, Reigns has all the potential in the world and he only needs the WWE to let him become his own character. One of the ways to do it is giving him freedom in his promos and not a give him cheesy lines that would give his haters more ammunition.

According to Yahoo! Sports, it is the perfect time to make Reigns a monster heel that the fans would love. He has the skills to make himself look like an arrogant prick that will just beat the hell out of any wrestler put in front of him.

The WWE can do it by having him beatdown his friend and current WWE champion, Dean Ambrose. The fans love Ambrose and Reigns attacking him would instantly get him booed for the right reasons. The company should look at its history book to know that they need to turn him a bad guy.

Reigns' cousin, The Rock, started off as a babyface that did not get over the fans. The WWE turned him heel and the rest was history. The Rock became one of the biggest superstars in WWE history. Of course, he has unbelievable mic skills to make it work.

These are all just rumors but the WWE booking Reigns at Battleground even though he will be suspended shows they have not lost faith in him. Check out the video below for Seth Rollins talking about Reigns' suspension live on Monday Night Raw.
