New details and possible spoilers for "Arrow" season 5 will feature a possible appearances from Green Lantern and Roy Harper/Arsenal, as well as clarifications on the changes to the show during "Flashpoint".
It was previously hinted by "TMNT 2" star Stephen Amell that "The Flash" season 3 premiere episode "Flashpoint" will have major changes to the plot of "Arrow" season 5. Amell recent comments during the "Heroes and Villains" Fan Fest event in New Jersey has sparked waves of speculations that the "Flashpoint" episode could affect not just "Arrow", but other CW Network owned DC TV series like "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow".
However, Amell clarrified his comments via Facebook regarding the possible "major changes" within "Arrow" season 5 and stated that his confirmation is intended to be sarcastic and was unsure if the season 2 finally of "The Flash" season 2 could ever had any changes to the show's main plot, Screenrant reported.
With that in mind, it seems that fans will just have to wait for more details from the showrunners regarding what effects will the "Flashpoint" episode of "The Flash" season 3 could have on "Arrow", "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow".
In other news, it seems that two DC heroes will be making possible appearances in "Arrow" season 5 as Amell teased that he wanted Roy Harper/Arsenal (Colton Haynes) back to the show rather than Dick Grayson/Nightwing.
However, since Team Arrow has been disbanded at the end of season 4 it seems that the chances of Arsenal coming back will be unlikely at the momment, ComicBookMovie reported.
Aside from Roy Harper, "Elysium" actress Carly Pope will be playing Coast City Journalist Susan Williams, a character who is connected to Green Lantern and Justice League member Hal Jordan. Season 4 featured an easter of egg of Hal Jordan leading fans to speculate that he will be making an appearance in the DC TV series soon.
"Arrow" season 5 will be introducing several new characters in Star City such as Evelyn Sharp/Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), Jack Wheeler/Wild Dog (Robert Gonzalez), Adrian Chase/Vigilante (Josh Segarra) and Detective Malone (Tyler Ritter).
Lastly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted a photo of "Arrow" season 5 episode titled "Legacy" and they are starting production this week.
"Arrow" will return on Oct. 5 on the CW Network.
