NBA rumors are intently focused on Golden State Warriors and their recent acquisition of Kevin Durant. Though the recent unfolding of events was somehow forecasted in the previous rumors, the effect was still shocking especially among unknowing NBA fans. However, apart from KD, Ray Allen has also been rumored for a comeback under the Warriors team as their potential top supporting cast.

With the newly coined 'Big 4' of the NBA being created, it is highly speculated that the Warriors will pursue the return of another sharpshooter, Allen. It can be remembered that the Warriors have been courting Allen since 2014, according to ESPN.

It is no secret that one of the strengths of the GSW is their shooting ability. With the accuracy of Allen from the 3 point range and his unquestionable skill and experience, his speculated signing with the Warriors will surely be a total game changer. If indeed the GSW will be successful in signing Allen, he would be the oldest active player in the league, thus requiring a minimum of $1.5 million for the veteran.

Despite being off the court for almost two years now, Allen has not lost his touch and even his athleticism. He is still in a relatively good shape, which is why other teams apart from the GSW would like to push him back to the league.  Allen's previous team, the Miami Heat and LeBron James' Cavaliers are some of the teams that are rumored to be in pursuit of the veteran player.

However, if indeed the semi-retired shooting guard will be back for the ball game, then it would likely be with the Warriors as conjectures would point it out. Knowing that he would have a greater chance of getting another shot at an NBA title, signing with the Warriors is somehow logical.

The experience of Allen will undoubtedly help shape and fortify the playing style of GSW. And together with the new 'Splash Triplets', Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, the 40-year-old veteran will surely be part of a future historic breakthrough of the Golden State Warriors.

But still, before the Warriors can convince Ray Allen to return, they would have to be more creative with their salary cap, according to ClutchPoints. Guess we would just have to wait for further development in the said NBA rumors.
