"Mortal Kombat X" co-creator and Creative director of NetherRealm studios Ed Boon has teased the long-awaited "Mortal Kombat" DLC by hinting imminent news concerning the game. The developer made the tease through one of his tweets, claiming that fans would soon receive exciting news.
As per his tweet, gaming enthusiasts now suspect that Boon's message was secretly referring to the impending "Kombat Pack 3," which is nearing launch. In the post, the creative Director deliberately capitalized the letters E, V, and O, yielding several reactions and speculations alike.
Gamers are now claiming that the message is a direct hint that something concerning "MKX" will undoubtedly arrive at the EVO 2016 event in July 15, Game and Guide reported. Basing on speculations of fans' expectations, the most likely assumption relates to the upcoming "Kombat Pack 3."
Furthermore, it can be noted that just after the launch of "Injustice 2" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2016), Boon had hinted other details about "Mortal Kombat X" in a PlayStation Blogcast. He revealed that support for the game would be extended even beyond other titles although he did not disclose the specifics.
Some "Mortal Kombat X" have again taken the mentioning of "more support" for the game in their own direction. In accordance with their thoughts, the extended support could mean that NetherRealm Studios plans to add new characters in the game.
Based on some comments in online forums, it is expected that NetherRealm may announce some new "Mortal Kombat X" characters during EVO 2016. The most anticipated characters include Noob Saibot, Sindel, Jade, Li Mei, Rain, and Fujin.
