NBA Trade Rumors: Festus Ezeli’s two-year deal with Portland Trail Blazers is expected to be $16 million

It looks like Festus Ezeli has a new home in the form of Portland Trail Blazers. Sources reveal that he is set to sign a two-year contract with Portland. NBA trade rumors suggest that the deal is worth $16 million.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the deal between Ezeli and Portland Trail Blazers will be $16 million. The free agent center has reached an agreement with the Blazers.

The Portland Trail Blazer are looking for a free agent. After the Golden State Warriors have made room for Kevin Durant, the team have to officially cancel the offer to Ezeli. This decision made Ezeli from a restricted free agent to an unrestricted free agent.

Earlier, Ezeli met the officials of the Portland Trail Blazer in Portland, CSN Northwest reported.

Ezeli told Jason Quick of CSN that he bought one-way ticket and they are going to figure it out. He is coming off a season after his left knee injury and he had to miss six weeks.

However, Ezeli assured that he feels good. "My knees feel great. Feel great," Ezeli said.

"It sucks that I had surgery, but the surgery was to fix."

Ezeli revealed that his agent Bill Duffy has been in touch with other teams but Blazers are the first they met in person.

"They are a great team with young talent,'' Ezeli mentioned. "They are good guys. I know a couple of them. I like the way they play. They are a tough team.''

He played against Blazers for the first time in the Western Conference semi-finals.

Ezeli stated that he gained respect for the Blazers in the playoff and admired their style of playing.

"I gained a lot of respect for them in the playoffs."

"Just the way they play. The grit they play with. They play with a lot of heart.''
