Actress Katey Sagal (L) and husband executive producer Kurt Sutter arrive at the season 7 premiere screening of FX's 'Sons of Anarchy' at the Chinese Theatre on September 6, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Charlie Hunnam became a household name for his role as Jackson "Jax" Teller in the FX drama series ''Sons of Anarchy'' which was aired between 2008 and 2014. As per the latest updates, the director Kurt Sutter has announced that the spin-off will be aired, however Hunnam will not be a part of it. It seems the shadow of this popular TV series is not letting the actor to establish himself as a popular Hollywood actor.

Crossing over from the small screen to big screen is a challenge to most of the actors and Hunnam is not an exception. Even though his role in ''Pacific Rim'' as Raleigh Becket was appreciated a lot, and the talks of ''Pacific Rim 2'' too are going on, the actor is yet to create a strong mark for himself in the world of cinema.

According to Variety, the 35 year old actor had exited from the movie ''Fifty Shades of Grey'' and has been finding it difficult to stick to movie projects. While talking to the magazine in an interview, Hunnam clarified that the decision to exit from the project was not because of the sexual content, but due to scheduling issues. "Oh, it was the worst professional experience of my life. It was the most emotionally destructive and difficult thing that I've ever had to deal with professionally," Hunnam told the magazine. "It was heartbreaking" he added further.

Now since he will not be a part of the spin-off, and he is concentrating on his film career, it seems that the English actor, screenwriter, and producer Hunnam will be able to carve a niche for himself in the world of cinema.

He will be a part of the project ''The Lost City of Z'' where he will play the role of Percy Fawcett. This movie will be released sometime in 2016 and he will be sharing screen space with Sienna Miller who will play the role of Nina Fawcett. Brad Pitt will be producing the movie, and as per the latest updates, Pitt is considered for the role of Jackson ''Jax''Teller's father, John Teller in the spin-off of ''Sons of Anarchy.'' It is possible that the bond between the actors will be strengthened on the sets of this movie and Pitt might help Hunnam to bag more coveted movie projects.

According to release date, Sutter, has confirmed that he will start working on the spin-off of ''Sons of Anarchy'' in 2017. Fans are still hoping to see Hunnam in some form or the other in the TV series, only time will tell the truth. Watch this interview of the cast of ''Sons of Anarchy'' by Russell Brand.
