Bayley laughs during a segment of The Edge and Christian Show on the WWE Network.

Former NXT women's champion Bayley is one of the best wrestlers in the company and she is more than ready for the main roster. However, the latest rumors suggest that Bayley may not be called up in the upcoming WWE Draft or anytime soon.

The 27-year-old had her breakout year in 2015 when she won the NXT women's championship and held it for 223 days. Her two matches with Sasha Banks at "NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn" and "NXT TakeOver: Respect" were two of the best-rated matches last year.

Bayley lost the NXT women's title last April at "NXT TakeOver: Dallas" to Asuka, who made her pass out with the Asuka Lock. Many believed that she will be making her main roster debut on Raw after WrestleMania 32 but it did not happen.

According to Daily DDT, Bayley is one of the rumored call-ups for the WWE Draft along with Carmella and Nia Jax. However, she just became the No. 1 contender for the NXT women's championship last week when she defeated Alexa Bliss.

The Mayor of Hug City took to Twitter to tease the fans of a possible second run with the NXT women's championship. She will likely face Asuka in a rematch for the title at "NXT TakeOver: Back to Brooklyn" on August 20 during SummerSlam weekend.

According to Sporskeeda, the WWE may be indeed planning to have Bayley have a second run with the NXT women's title. If that is the case, she will not be called up anytime soon. However, it should be noted that these are just speculations at the moment.

Nonetheless, the WWE may be having difficulty producing the next star of the women's division in NXT. After the call-ups of Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, Bayley has been the only consistent women's wrestler at developmental.

Nia Jax and Asuka could be those next in line but their characters are more heel-like. Carmella is also a candidate but she is not as good in the ring as Bayley. Other female wrestler's in the NXT roster include Bliss, Aliyah, Billie Kay, Liv Morgan, Mandy Rose and Peyton Royce.

The WWE have been scouring the independent scene for talents and they need to find the next female star fast. Bayley is too good not to be on the main roster. She is already one of the best wrestlers in the division and her character will get over to casual viewers, especially to little kids.
