Kristin Cavallari poses for a photo during her book signing for 'Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness and Making It All Work' at Barnes & Noble at The Grove on March 21, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

Reality star Kristine Cavallari has finally broken her silence and slammed those who criticized her kids' online photo saying they looked undernourished.

The actress posted a photo on Instagram featuring her two sons, three-year-old Camden and two-year-old Jaxon. The family went to a beach on the Fourth of July holiday where the picture was clicked. The caption prepared by the actress below the post read, "Even though we're not in the states, were still celebrating hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th!"

The photo not only grabbed attention online but also invited several negative comments. The commenters criticized Cavallari for being careless in feeding her kids as they appeared underfed in the online picture. "Seeing pictures of your boys and how they look is a bit shocking to see! I know you cook healthy but to see the bones just doesn't seem normal, sorry!" one of the users commented.

Seeing the unnecessary stretch of the series of comments, Cavallari decided to hit the critics back. She took to the same post to respond. "Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I've ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha," the actress posted on Monday and put a stop to the critical comments.

As soon as the celebrity responded to the comments, according to E Online, her supporters followed. One of the users said that her son eats enough but avoids sitting ideal. He is very active and hence doesn't gain pounds. Another user commented positive and said that Cavallary's kids looked perfect in the picture.

ABC News remembered the actress' interview in 2015 where she said that she always avoided toxic chemicals and concentrated on real food and nutrition. One of the issues with her was that she faced trouble in gaining weight. Her skinny physique was what she never liked and hence she took protein shakes to try put on some pounds.

According to reports, the impact of the negative comment against the Instagram is evident as Cavallari and husband Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler have been receiving articles on how being vegan can be dangerous for health. The actress tweeted on Tuesday and requested those who sent her the lesson to send them to someone who is an actual vegan.
