Game developer Pysonix celebrated "Rocket League's" one-year anniversary recently and shared an infographic for the players. They also gave a big thank you to the fans that have enjoyed their video game.
Since the video game's launch in July 2015, it became one of the most successful games for that year. For its anniversary, they have released a new infographic that shows everything that the players have gotten throughout a year of playing. According to Dual Shockers, the game now has over 18 million players and over 545 million matches played in one year.
The popular competitive video game has also sold over 6.2 million copies all over the world with 5.5 million units of DLC sold. It also gains an average of 1.1 million players globally in a day to day basis. Its playerbase on the PlayStation 4 share about 40 percent, while the Xbox One and the PC platforms got an even split of the share of the remaining 60 percent.
Competitive games had 51 percent in playlist popularity, while the casual games had 39 percent. Players rarely try out the alternative moves, which had 8 percent popularity, while private matches only got 2 percent. The inforgraphic even revealed the popular cosmetic items like the most popular paint type, which was Glossy, and the most popular decal was Tech.
The game developers thanked their fans from Europe and North America for their passion and support. To give thanks to their fans, they will continue to support their soccer car game with new Arenas, new Garage items, new Game Modes, and new DLC. They will also experiment with more Rocket Labs, and they will try to make their presence known the world of competitive gaming.
In other news, the game developer has released update 1.21 to fix the previous issues of update 1.20. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the new update has a size of 80 MB on PS4, 85 MB on PC, and 825 MB on Xbox One.
There were several bugs that were fixed with the new update, like an issue where the Spectators would sometimes see wrong nameplates. It also fixed a crash issue that happened when players viewed old replay in the Dunk House feature.
