Demi Lovato and tour mate Nick Jonas concert gave their audience a delightful surprise when Jamie Foxx showed up at the 2016 Honda Civic Tour at the Barclays Center on July 8, Friday, in New York City. Another surprise guest for Lovato and Jonas on their "Future Now" stop was rapper Desiigner.

Foxx and Desiigner provided an icebreaker to the otherwise rigid set list of the 42 show tour. The Brooklyn native rapper sprinted to the stage in a Chicago Bulls jersey and shorts, jumping around his "Panda" hit while some audiences shouted along.

Foxx teamed up with Lovato for a medley of classics, like "Georgia on My Mind" and "Empire State of Mind" when the former played the piano. The concert guest made Lovato smiling a lot after their performance, Just Jared reported. Foxx then sang with Jonas for "Blame It."

Lovato and Jonas gave a relatively simple and straightforward performance during their concert, making their voices the center of everything. No sharp choreo, no unnecessary props on stage, no strapping dancers and Lovato made a wardrobe change just once.

The Brooklyn stop of Lovato and Jonas' 42-show "Future Now" tour drew teens, parents, twentysomethings and more. Jonas took the audience through his No. 2 charting "Last Year Was Complicated" album. He projected his soft but powerful voice that surfaced above the live band, putting new spin on "Levels" and "Numb." He gathered several tracks from his solo career like "Jealous," "Chainsaw" and B-sides, Billboard reported.

Meanwhile, Lovato did ballads, dance-pops and other fan-favorites. She was in her best vocal form, sounding even better than her studio performance of "Stone Cold." She engaged with the Lovatics through small chats like saying "You're beautiful!" to the crowd and dedicating her "Nightingale" to them.

"Buried in Detroit" opened the show with Mike Posner, who delivered a monologue of the tumultuous moments of his life. He mentioned having experienced losing everything, as well as the good side, like being in private jets with Justin Bieber and the success of "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" as well as "Cooler Than Me." Posner conveyed to the audience that money cannot fix everything with a repetition of "you cannot use green to cover up blue!"
