Relationship advice was a bonus feature of the press conference at the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on Tuesday, during which Charmaine Sheh and Chilam Cheung conducted promotion for their eagerly anticipated film, "Triumph in the Skies."
Hong Kong actress Sheh shared some insights with the gushing audience members, who were keen to see the way that renowned Hong Kong directors Wilson Yip and Matt Chow adapted the 40-episode-long television series.
Sheh plays the character of Cassie Poon, whose failed relationship with the character of Branson, played by Louis Koo, resulted in avid discussion among the show's viewers. The actress said:
"Waiting for love depends on who the other party is (...) every guy has a different personality and the depth of which you like someone varies too."
Sheh further elaborated, saying that the amount of time that a person should wait for a prospective partner depends on the degree of love that exists. She concluded by telling the audience members that "waiting a few years is fine, but if that doesn't work then you have to look for somebody else."
Chilam, on the other hand, plays Captain Cool, who was described by xin msn as an "infamous heartbreaker."
The film's Singapore showing appeared to make a strong impact if the country's Yahoo! review is any indication. The reviewer provided five reasons that the film must be seen, including the reappearance of Kenneth Ma and Elena Kong, who appear in the television series, and the ability to watch three love stories within the one film.
Malaysian fans have also shown their loyalty, as the film adaptation finished in the top position of the weekend's box-office charts in their nation's market.
