'Final Fantasy XV' update: New VR gameplay demo leaked [VIDEO]; Square Enix to collaborate with Streamline Studios, sequel ported to the PS4 Neo, Xbox Scorpio soon!

Final Fantasy XV (ファイナルファンタジーXV Fainaru Fantajī Fifutīn?) is an upcoming action role-playing video game being developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and currently scheduled for a worldwide release in 2016.

The latest details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature a leaked VR gameplay demo, Square Enix collaborating with Streamline Studios, a possible PlayStation 4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio port soon.

A new gameplay demo for the virtual reality feature in "Final Fantasy XV" has been leaked online as an off-screen footage of the game was uploaded on YouTube during the Japan Expo 2016 event.

The VR gameplay of "Final Fantasy XV" is a special option within the game that sees players assume the role of Prompto and see the world through his eyes. Gamers who have played "Final Fantasy XV's" VR section will see Prompto fighting a Behemoth along with Noctis, Ignis and Gladiolus.

Judging by how the VR gameplay looks like, it seems that the feature is more like a light gun video game title as gamers used the PlayStation Move trigger to shoot enemies as they look around the headset in a first-person-view, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

In other news, Square Enix will be collaborating with Kuala Lampur based developer Streamline Studios in developing "Final Fantasy XV".

The Japanese game company brought Streamline Studios for its global platform, Streamframe, and vast experience in making triple A projects. The studio has collaborated with over 200 video game titles which include "Street Fighter 5", "Star CI\itizen", "Gears of War", "BioShock Infinite" and "Pillars of Eternity".

Streamline Studios CEO Alexander L. Fernandez made a statement regarding their partnership with Square Enix and they are honored to be part of "Final Fantasy XV's" development. So far, there are still details on how will Streamline will help Square Enix in finishing the game and will likely hear from them soon, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

Lastly, game director Hajime Tabata teased that "Final Fantasy XV" will likely be ported in update versions of the consoles such as PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio soon, not to mention Square Enix is still considering a PC version of the sequel.

Square Enix will also showcase a new game demo for "Final Fantasy XV" at Gamescom 2016 and a day 1 patch update for the sequel.

"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Sept. 30 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
