Lady Gaga recently confirmed the reports that she is engaged to her long-time boyfriend actor Taylor Kinney and rumor has it that the massive heart-shaped engagement ring given to her on Valentine's Day actually costs half a million dollars.
The mother of all monsters took it to her Instagram account on Valentine's Day to let her fans know about the wonderful news. In the caption, she said Kinney gave his heart to her on Valentine's Day and she said yes.
However, what is all the more intriguing is the details about the engagement ring and first things first, experts were asked about how much it could have possibly weighed.
Simon G. Jewelry CEO Zaven Ghanimian told E! News that the heart-shaped diamond is possibly six carats and that it might be at least S1 or G1 Clarity. The price is also possibly at US$400,000 as the setting is with pave diamonds down the side although it is a simple solitaire. The same estimate was echoed by Pascal Mouawad of Mouawad Jewelers.
Also, the heart-shaped bling might be possibly designed by jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz who is known in the Hollywood and showbiz scene as she posted a shot of Gaga's ring on her Instagram account with a captione, "Congratulations to this wonderful romantic and super cool couple! wishing you all the happiness in the world!"
According to ABC News, Gaga and Kinney were both raised in the northeastern side of the U.S. as Kinney was born and raised in Pennsylvania while Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, was raised in New York City. They met at the set of Gaga's song "You And I" as Kinney was the playing the role of the man Gaga was after. They started dating shortly thereafter but have been very private with their romantic life.
