Former EXO member Kris Wu has pleased audiences with his singing talent but when it comes to his acting prowess, audiences are not happy.

Wu, whose legal Chinese name is Wu Yifan, has faced criticism from Chinese and Korean fans alike over his terrible acting in the youth romance "Never Gone," according to Koreaboo.

After snippets from the film were released to the public, it didn't take long for fans to troll the actor for his poor performance in the recent release.

The Zhou Tuo Ru-directed film titled "So Young 2: Never Gone" is a follow-up to 2013's "So Young" and has had a successful run at the box-office, raking in 70 million yuan on its July 8 opening day and a total of 2500 million yuan over the course of that week, but the 25-year-old actor, who plays the male lead in the film, is being ridiculed for his "overacting."

Wu, who also stars in Vin Diesel's upcoming "XXX" threequel, faced criticism for his overenthusiastic acting in many of the film's clips but one that stands out is a scene where he is passionately kissing co-star Liu Yifei.

Korean netizens didn't hold back and mocked the Guangzhou-native over the scene, with some saying that it appeared as though he wanted to eat something instead of passionately kissing a girl.

Wu was also criticized for his facial expressions throughout the movie and some fans have even gone to the extent of calling him the worst actor to have ever starred opposite Yifei.

In response to the criticism, the film's director Zhou had this to say: "I have expected some criticism, but I also believe there should be some positive voices to lead our movie market. We are working hard to make better Chinese movies. Just as the armless Venus, nobody has ever judged its imperfection," The Shanghaiist reported.
