Social Outcast’s Heath Slater is not letting the wound on his face, sustained during his Saturday match against Titus O’Neil at the WWE Live Event in Bangor, Maine, stop him from attending the upcoming World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Draft on Tuesday at the new and improved Smackdown Live moved to Tuesday nights.

On Monday, Heath Slater tweeted a photo of the injury which needed 18 stitches, reported Fox News. He captioned the photo “Every bit of a reason why you shouldn’t try this at home.” He added that “It hurts .. But I’m still pretty.”

The gash above his right eye caused the match against O’Neill to be stopped, but O’Neill was declared winner. Dr. Stephen Daquino, WWE ringside physician, reported to WWE, “Heath has a six centimeter laceration above his right eye. It was quite open, right down to the bone. He got 18 sutures and hopefully that will close it up.”

The incident debunks criticism that wrestling is fake, reported Thebiglead. The sports website stressed, “these performers put their bodies on the line damn near every night of the week, whether their matches are televised or not. They deserve a lot of credit for putting themselves through that toll.”

Slater is really Heath Miller III, born on July 15, 1983. He has been employed by WWE since early 2010. He was born in Pineville, West Virginia and initially trained at WWA4 Wrestling School. He would be seen in a movie “The Marine 5: Battleground” in 2017.
