"Arrow" season 5, episode 2 will officially be called "The Recruits" and will center on Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) finding new members to join Team Arrow.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared a photo of the script for the upcoming episode. The snap confirmed that the episode was written by Speed Weed and Beth Schwartz and will be directed by James Bamford.
Last week, Guggenheim confirmed to his social media followers that the filming for "The Recruits" has already started. It was also revealed that this is the first episode from season 5 that will feature Rick Gonzalez as Jack Wheeler aka Wild Dog.
If the episode that will feature Wild Dog will be similar to the DC comic books, fans can expect to see the character in a series of flashbacks as a young man who tried to finish his college education, but couldn't because of financial issues.
Instead of working as a professional, the male character ended up working as a mechanic because he wasn't able to finish his degree. While on the job, he suffered from a serious injury that made it impossible for him to fund his daily needs.
While all of these trials were taking place, Jack's girlfriend also passed away. This is the biggest blow that triggered him to become a vigilante. It also became his sole mission to get rid of bad people especially those who might have contributed in his girlfriend's demise.
In episode 2, Oliver and Jack will bump into each other on the streets of Star City. They will get along well with each other pretty quickly, and Oliver will encourage him to join his team.
Jack will call himself Wild Dog and he will agree to work with Oliver, Diggle (David Ramsey), Thea (Willa Holland) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).
As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Wild Dog is the only vigilante that will be joining Team Arrow in season 5.
"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
