Samsung's first 2016 flagships - the combo that is the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge - are reportedly outselling Apple's iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, and according to reports the South Korean tech giant intends to sustain on the momentum with the phablet Galaxy Note 7. The plan is to package the new Android device as one irresistible deal - buy one, take one.
In a series of latest tweets, gadget tipster Evan Blass or @evleaks focused on Samsung's follow up to the market hit GS7. In one of the posts, Blass broke the news that among the first to offer the Note 7 is U.S. telco T-Mobile and the company is making an offer that is hard to resist:
The Samsung-T-Mobile promo deal will place the Galaxy Note 7 on the 'buy one, take one' table, which presumably is the latest move by Samsung to again outpace its chief rival Apple - first with the GS7 and iPhone 6S face off and then in the upcoming showdown of the Note 7 with the iPhone 7 series. Earlier, the Galaxy maker has decided to advance the Note 7 launch with the Asian tech giant opting for an August 2016 debut to gain considerable head start against the next iPhone. Reports said unveiling of the Galaxy Note 7 will happen August 2 and the chance is high that pre-order will commence on the same day. However, the Note 7 promo leaked out by Blass is yet to be confirmed by Samsung. T-Mobile is also silent on the subject but according to BGR, it is safe to assume that the phablet package, tempting as it is, will include lock-in period and possibly significant pricing adjustment. Regardless, good things seem to be lining up for the GN7 as another tweet from @evleaks showed off a press shot of the device that is both stunning and interesting. Blass predicted: "Samsung's Galaxy Note7 is a big bet that may pay off for the entire industry."
The bet is all about the curvy Note 7 that is a level better than the already well-received Galaxy S7 Edge. And as shown in the image that accompanied the tweet, the device retains or packs the elements that the iPhone 7 will either skip or ditch, foremost of which are the 3.5mm audio port and the USB-C port. The pic also indicates of an enhanced holder for the S Pen stylus.
On release date, which is likely to happen a few weeks after its August unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is said to unbox with desktop-class specs bumps - headlined any of the Snapdragon 821 or Exynos 8890 chip with up to 6GB of RAM support and basic storage of 64GB.
