"Vikings" Season 4 midseason finale (episode 10) saw the return of Ragnar to Kattegat. He finds his sons have conquered his throne and he challenges them to battle him to reclaim his position in his kingdom.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that when the show returns it will feature a six-year time jump. The network released a promo video ahead of Comic Con 2016 and it gives a glimpse at the events of "Vikings" Season 4B. It gives the first look at the Floki, Lagertha, Bjorn, Ubbe, Ivar, Sigurd and older Ragnar.

The promo video teases the numerous war scenes and what lies ahead of Ragnar. The King is expected to come face-to-face with his sons, who are all grown up. According to Movie News Guide, Rangar might be killed by "his own people." More rumoured spoilers suggest that he might be killed by his own son.

However, these are mere speculations. Fans will get to see a lot of Ragnar when "Vikings" Season 4 premieres. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Michael Hirst confirmed that "Ragnar's story is nowhere near the end."

"Nowhere near the end, and it's just an amazing, onward story. It may be the story of the rise and fall of a hero...," he added.

Speaking about Ragnar's future in "Vikings" Season 4B, Hirst told TV Guide: "If you knew what I know about what happens to Ragnar in the second half of the season, you, too, would be very happy that he didn't die [during the fight with Rollo]," Hirst said. "I think Travis is absolutely amazing on this journey and more powerful than ever. What happens to him is unbelievable. Prepare to shed a lot of tears, I think."

"Vikings" Season 4B is set to premiere in fall 2016. However, History Channel is yet to reveal its official date. Stay tuned, more spoilers and updates are expected soon.
