Michael Schumacher is a retired German racing driver.

After Michael Schumacher met with an accident while skiing in 2013, fans have been worried and eager to know about how he is doing. The legendary F1 racer, Michael Schumacher, went into seclusion post the accident. To respect the racer's wish for privacy, his family has also not revealed anything about his condition. But it seems the family is facing financial troubles as the legendary racer's favorite Mercedes E55 is up for sale.

According to Morning News USA, Schumacher's Mercedes E55 AMG is a historic car that has run 123,000 miles. It has been priced at $133 million, which is a high price, but considering its association with the legend, it will not be hard to find a buyer. The family's decision to sell the car has also aroused the interest of fans and well-wishers as it is being speculated that the family is facing financial difficulties.

Apart from the Mercedes which is up for sale now, Schumacher's wife Corinna has already sold Schumacher's jet and their vacation house. And, she admitted that she was selling the jet as she thinks that Michael would not be able to use it again. One cannot rule out the same reason behind Corinna's decision to sell Schumacher's favorite Mercedes E55.

It is worth mentioning here that Corinna has not mentioned that she is selling these to raise money. But, one can pretty well guess the reason especially with the high medical costs that the family has to bear with Schumacher's condition being critical for 3 years.

Schumacher's accident left him in coma for more than six months and later he was recourse to rehab to recuperate and he still continues to be under treatment at his home. The family has chosen to keep his health confidential, according to FX News Call. Despite the speculations, the decision to keep privacy has been welcomed by all. May be, it is a way to ensure that nobody makes a wrong or a controversial statement about the player without his consent.

Meanwhile, Schumacher's son Mick is all set to join racing and restore the glory of his father's legacy. And, fans are now just waiting for Schumacher to recover and get back as soon as possible.
