Pokemon Sun and Moon updates: New Pokemon and new features to be revealed by the Pokemon Company on Aug. 1

'Pokémon Sun and Moon' are the next new games in the Pokémon franchise.

More information about the Pokemon Sun and Moon is expected to be revealed on Aug. 1. Details will be revealed by the Pokemon Company on the said date and time.

Although there had been no specific information as to what the announcement may be, some are expecting it would include revelation of new Pokemon and features to be available in the upcoming games, according to Siliconera.

The previous reveal included six new Pokemon namely, Wimpod, Mimikyu, Mudsdale, Comfey, Bewear, and Bounsweet, along with the information on the new Pokémon Global Link, the report added. This makes the total number of new Pokemon to 25, but more are expected to be unveiled as the game's release date draws near.

Aside from the new Pokemon, other changes have been added to the upcoming game including its gameplay. The character's proportions have been improved which made it appear to be more realistic. In addition, an enhancement has also been made when the player's character is moved in the region of Alola, IGN reported.

A new multiplayer mode has also been added. In this new mode, four different players battle against each other in one match. Each participant is able to choose three among his Pokemon and send it one at a time during battle. The winner is declared based on accumulated points which is triggered once a player runs out of Pokemon, the report added.

Previously, starter Pokemon were also revealed. These include Rowlet, a Grass and Flying type, Litten which is a Fire type, and Popplio, a Water type. Players will be able to choose among these starters once they play Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Aside from starter one, the game already revealed three legendary Pokemon set to appear on the said game. These legendary Pokemon include Solgaleo, the Psychic and Steel type, Lunala, the Psychic and Ghost type, and Magearna which is a Steel and Fairy type.

The game's setting will be similar, or rather inspired to that of Hawaii, with the place to be called Alola. Kukui will be the main Pokemon professor appearing for the said game.

Pokemon Sun and Moon is scheduled to be released on Nov. 18. For other details surrounding the said game, watch the video clip below.
