'Pokemon Go' live-action movie with protagonist ‘Detective Pikachu’ set to hit big screen

After the huge success of Pokemon Go, Legendary Entertainment is all set to launch the first live-action movie of Pokemon franchise.

The production of "Detective Pikachu" will start in 2017. The Legendary production house has signed an agreement with The Pokemon Company to own the rights to the movie, a press release stated. The Legendary press release specified that the distribution task will be handled by Universal Pictures in all the markets while Pokemon Company collaborator Toho will see to the distribution in Japan.

"Detective Pikachu" is again a character found in another Japanese game. The character in the live-action flick will be inspired by the same, according to CBS News.

Pokemon was mere a Japanese video game series that was about locating monsters to be collected by humans. In the game, the humans need to train the creatures so that they can fight with other monsters. Its latest version Pokemon Go with advanced features has been launched recently and has grabbed the attention of many.

With the usage of latest technologies, Pokemon Go gives humans an opportunity to find monsters at popular landmarks and no more remain limited to their phone. They step out of their houses and follow directions to reach the landmarks in real to locate and train the monsters. This real feel offered in the game has made people obsessed with it.

Along with the common people, celebrities have also joined the rush. Some of the public figures include singing star Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres, Demi Lovato, Chrissy Teigen, Ansel Elgort, Soulja Boy and Steve Aoki.

The impatience seen in players while playing Pokemon Go has prompted to severe accidents and injuries. Hence, as reported by Your Story, Japan has issued a nine-point safety guide to warn gamers of the dangers that they could face while deeply involving into the game. This might help players to be alert even when they are busy playing.
