"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Major "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 casting details were unveiled by showrunner Steven Molaro at San Diego Comic Con 2016.

It appears that viewers will get to meet and learn more about Penny's family in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Speaking at "The Big Bang Theory" panel at San Diego Comic Con 2016, Molaro revealed that the show has cast a sitcom legend to play Kaley Cuoco's mother.

"We are finally going to meet more of Penny's family," Entertainment Weekly quoted Molaro as saying. "We're going to be meeting Penny's mom and her brother in the first episode back. We're super excited that Kate Sagal will be playing Penny's mom."

This will be Cuoco and Sagal's second time to portray a mother-daughter tandem. Both actresses worked together on ABC's "8 Simple Rules" from 2002 to 2005.

62-year-old Sagal will take on the role of Susan in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, who is described as "stressed out and neurotic from a life with her troubled son."

On the other hand, Penny's brother, Randall, will be played by "30 Rock" alum Jack McBrayer in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Randall is a "cheerful former drug dealer and ex-con." Looks like Penny's family will bring a lot of crazy fun on the show.

According to Bleeding Cool, Sagal and McBrayer will be introduced at the beginning of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, which immediately picks up during Penny and Leonard's wedding.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will follow up on the cliffhanger that was seen in Season 9 finale. Viewers will learn what happened with Alfred and Mary after their flirtatious first meeting, and whether their relationship will turn into something more. Much of Sheldon and Leonard's reaction to the possibility of becoming brothers will also be explored.

Meanwhile, the couples on the show will have developments in their relationships. While Bernadette and Wolowitz prepare to become parents, Amy and Sheldon are also considering taking their relationship a bit further. It was revealed that they even attended a real-life flag convention in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.

"Ultimately that growth is exciting and good for the health of the show," Molaro said about the changes on the show.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will premiere on Sept. 19, Monday, on CBS.
