The first official trailer of "The Walking Dead" season 7 was recently unveiled at the Comic-Con International in San Diego. While the first half of the trailer felt more like a reflection of different character's journey on the show, the second half did reveal what the fans were anticipating to see - the Kingdom and its leader, Ezekiel.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 trailer released at the Comic-Con talks about each of the Negan's potential victims as they wait to face the wrath of his barbed-wire baseball bat. The first half of the trailer provides a glimpse of each of these character's journey in the show with the help of some of the most important moments in their lives.

The second half of the trailer explodes with a new footage altogether and officially introduces The Kingdom. The community that wants to stop The Saviours were only hinted at towards the end of "The Walking Dead" season 6 when Carol, Morgan and Rick come across a rider on a horseback with an armor.

While "The Walking Dead" fans were left suspicious at that time, the new trailer clears all the doubts as it shows an army of several guards and their leader - Ezekiel. According to Comic Book Resources, Ezekiel is one of the most eccentric characters in the pages of "The Walking Dead" comic, even more than badass Negan and Whisperers, who are yet to be introduced in the show.

When it comes to appearance, Ezekiel has a head full of feathers and dreadlocks. He has ornate staff and also owns a pet named "Shiva." All these traits of the leader seem to have been adapted in the television version, however, the king looks much younger than the one depicted in the comic.

As for Shiva, its presence in a world full of zombies seems a little strange in the comics. However, fans would really like to see some roar and the flesh on the show. While it might have been possible for people in the postapocalyptic world to have kept animals as guardians before the attack of the zombies, Ezekiel had actually known Shiva long before the end of the civilization.

In the comics, Ezekiel had cared for Shiva ever since it was a cub. Their bond had evolved to become unbreakable, especially after the leader of The Kingdom cared for his pet after it slashed its stomach.

Ezekiel remains fair in his leadership and develops a theatrical, unique facade while developing The Kingdom so that everyone can look up to it. In addition, he also becomes an ally to Hilltop and Alexandria.

It is still not clear what percentage of Ezekiel's characteristics and storyline will be adapted in the television version of "The Walking Dead," it is certain that it will be one amazing for the viewers to enjoy. "The Walking Dead" season 7 premieres on Oct. 23, Sunday, at 9 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, actor Andrew Lincoln confirmed that the season's premiere would reveal Negan's victim, according to Variety. In addition, he believes that "it's a really shitty start to the season."
