"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will be a very emotional four-episode revival on Netflix.
Just recently, creator Amy Sherman-Palladino spoke with TV Line about the four 90-minute episodes that will premiere starting this November.
According to her, the revival episodes are very emotional ones and she and lead star Lauren Graham couldn't help but cry.
"I've been crying since day 1. Lauren and I, we couldn't look at each other after a while, because literally on set, we'd just be like, 'Hi. How are you?' I'm still crying. Maybe it's menopause. I have no idea, but of course I'm crying constantly. I am very pleased with all four of the episodes. I feel like we accomplished what we set out to do, which is something I almost never say. Now, do I still feel like there's two or three minute pull-ups that I didn't take the frames out? Yes, I tried to get my post lady to open it back up for me again and she's like, 'Noooo!' because we have delivery dates. But I think they're really what we're set out to do," she said.
Meanwhile, Sherman-Palladino confirmed that they have already finished mixing the first draft of episode 1, entitled, "Winter."
"We just finished mixing the first pass of "Winter." Everything is edited. We're mixing, we're putting our music in, we're putting our sound effects in, we're getting our picture pretty, doing all that," she said.
In other news, Graham and co-star Alexis Bledel spoke with Entertainment Weekly about their respective characters.
According to Bledel, since Rory is no longer in high school, she can finally do the things that mature adults do.
Graham said, "It's a story about a young woman and the struggles that she faces."
Now that Rory is also an adult, viewers of the series can expect her and her mom to get into nonstop fights just like before.
"You're never going to run out of conflict. Suddenly, they can have cocktails together. They can sit, eat, and drink and talk about sh*t," Sherman-Palladino said.
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" episode 1 "Winter" will air on Netflix on Nov. 25.
