While waiting for her next project after “Descendants of the Sun,” Hallyu actress Song Hye Kyo went to Hong Kong on July 23 to attend the opening of a high-end clothing brand’s outlet in the special administrative region.
Inquistr reported that the actress stunned everyone when she came in a little black dress. The crowd likely was asking if Song Hye Kyo was channeling Miranda Priestly by wearing a Prada dress since the shop on Canton Road was a Prada store.
The website said that the actress posed with people who requested a photo with her and answered their questions. After the event, Song Hye Kyo thanked Kris Gap who accompanied her to the store opening and posted her photo on Instagram.
Although the brand of the little black dress which the “Descendants of the Sun” actress was wearing was not identified, as soon as her fans discover it, the dress – even if it is an expensive Prada – would be selling a lot since like her co-star Song Joong-ki, Song Hye Kyo is an effective endorser of products.
The cosmetics and make-up she used for the 16-episode drama are selling fast in South Korea and China. Although she is already 34, Song Hye Kyo looks like only in her 20s which would be because of anti-aging products she had been using even at a young age on advice of her mother.
Getting a popular Asian star to endorse their products is a good strategy on the part of Prada, which Bloomberg noted demand for its products in the region has slowed down while rivals had revamped their designs. The business daily pointed out that the 103-year-old fashion company, which began in Milan, has been the worst-performing major luxury stock in the past three years.
