Leicester City mainman Jamie Vardy hasn't shown any regret turning down the opportunity of joining Arsenal for more money, believing the Foxes are destined for greater glory in the upcoming seasons.

Vardy, who is viewed by many football pundits as the heart and soul of Leicester's unexpected run to Premier League title, said it was never a hard decision staying put in Leicester, given the fact that he has formed an unbreakable bond with his teammates last season.

"Yes. I have always said how close knit the lads are. We are like a band of brothers. Personally, I think the club is only going one way and that's forwards, so there's a lot of unfinished business and I want to be part of it," Vardy explained his decision via ESPN FC.

Following Leicester City's mesmerizing campaign, many of their key players have drawn the attention of big ball clubs. Central midfielder N'Golo Kanté already left the Foxes for greener pastures in Chelsea, but Vardy is hoping the team can retain the service of Riyad Mahrez.

"It [Mahrez signing a new deal] would be brilliant for the club, but like you say it is nothing to do with me. There's nothing I can do, so we will have to wait and see what the club do.

No, it is his decision. Obviously we have a lot of banter thrown around the pitch, but it is up to Riyad at the end of the day so we will have to wait and see what his plans are and what the club do," Vardy via Real GM.
