MacBook Pro 2016: Surface Pro 5, MacBook Pro 2016 will be powered by Kaby Lake processor

The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is said to be released November this year alongside the availability of the Intel Kaby Lake which is rumored to become the device's processor. The said processor will be launched on the same month, and some are expecting it will be around this time where Apple will introduce its new generation Macbook Pro.

It has been previously rumored that the tech giant will be utilizing the Skylake processors from Intel and will launch the Macbook Pro during the WWDC. When the event commenced and no unveiling of the much-awaited device happened, speculations became rife that the Cupertino-based company delayed the laptop for some reason.

It is currently being rumored that the tech giant waited for Intel to release its new line of processors, dubbed as Kaby Lake, to use it in the next generation of Macbook Pro. This also hints Apple will be skipping a Skylake upgrade and will focus on the Kaby Lake instead, since shipments for the said microchip to OEMs commenced last month, Gadgets 360 reported.

The report added that the speculation may be possible as Apple's rival, Microsoft, already launched a similar product, the Microsoft Surface Pro which adopted Kaby Lake as its processor. The new processor is said to be offering significant improvements in terms of performance and battery life over the Skylake processor.

Meanwhile, other upgrades which may be present in Macbook Pro is the USB Type-C port. The said type of port is said to feature high-speed transmission which will be needing the aid of an amplifier chip, a receiver chip, and a special-spec transmission wire, DigiTimes reported.

The report added the use of a USB Type-C port has become a trend now that virtual reality technology has been in demand for the past few months. It is expected the use of this port will become a major trend in the upcoming year. As of the moment, it still needs to have a larger capacity of electric current for it to become present in most devices since the previous generation USB ports required minimal.

It is expected Apple will be revealing more information about the Macbook Pro 2016 once it launches its iPhone 7 this September. As of the moment, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt as changes are set to happen in the coming months.
