Here are some tips to recover reset or deleted accounts.
According to several Pokemon Go players, the newest update has reset or deleted their Pokemon Go account completely.
Here is how players can recover their deleted accounts.
Right Gmail Account
The Pokemon Go update updated the Google Account login system. It means that when players begin or log into the game, they may mistakenly generate a new account under a different Google email address.
It can happen if users sign in via the Safari browser or an iOS device. If this happens, players should sign out of their account and after that open the game again.
They should select the Google login method, and check the email address in the top right corner of the page. Gamers should ensure that it is the same one they used when they initially created their account.
Players can uninstall and reinstall Pokemon Go if this does not work. Also, according to some Reddit users, people have to catch the starter first, and then go to settings and log out. It will be fixed when they log back in. Players should log in with the correct account.
Here are some other fixes
Players should ensure that their login says @gmail if they are a Google user. They should keep logging out and logging back in. One Reddit user said that their email account was not switched; however, they kept coming up with a wiped account.
The user only logged out and logged in with the correct account, over and over, till it ultimately worked.
Players should try removing the game's permissions from their Google account settings.
They should sign into Google on their browser and then go to Settings and select Look for Apps that have access to my account. They should find Pokemon Go and remove its permissions. Then, they should reinstall the app and sign in with the right email.
Gamers can also remove all saved Google passwords in their settings. To do this, they should go to settings > General > Passwords > Select any Google.com accounts > edit > delete.
Meanwhile, according to a Forbes report, the footprints feature has been entirely removed from the game in the recent update. The footprints were removed due to a glitch that was causing each creature to appear to be three footsteps away. Niantic Labs has decided to remove the feature completely till they can work out a solution.
