Sandara Park will soon meet avid Filipino fans and aspiring young singers in a new show. The 2NE1 group member has recently signed on to be one of the judges for a Philippine talent and audition show.

The South Korean singer's upcoming project was announced by YG Entertainment on Monday, Aug. 1, Korea Times reported. Park will act as a member of the judging panel for the reality talent show titled "Pinoy Boyband Superstar" that will air in the local network ABS-CBN in September.

Park will join two other local celebrities in the said talent audition show. The Kpop musician will act as a judge alongside Filipino singer and songwriter Yeng Constantino, as well as comedian and TV host Vice Ganda. The show will feature groups of aspiring young male singers who will challenge each other for a chance to become the next big boy band in the Philippines.

The upcoming reality singing competition will also mark Park's return to the Philippine small screens. Avid Filipino fans may recall that the Kpop singer was first discovered in a local talent show that aired in ABS-CBN during the early 2000's. She then left the Philippines to pursue a career in South Korea where she joined the popular girl group 2NE1.

Park described her upcoming new project as a special opportunity for her to reconnect with her Filipino fans, as indicated in the same report. She made mention of the love and support that she has received from her loyal local followers over the years, despite her nationality.

The singer and actress also recounted her childhood days in the Philippines. She even confessed that her dream to become a musician first started in the said Asian country.

In other news, the 2NE1 member has recently shown her support for the South Korean group Epik High. It appears that Park attended Epik High's latest concert and even uploaded a photo of herself with the members of the band along with some of her friends on Instagram, Soompi reported.

She even described Epik High's performance as fun and shared that she was sad she missed the encore part of the show. Park also commented on one of the concert's segments that she found scary but shared that it was a perfect addition to the performance given the summer season.
