Pokemon GO Goes Live In Taiwan

Pokemon Go has brought the youth out into the streets hunting for cartoon characters. But some gamers cheat by using third-party apps that allow them to play from the comfort of their homes.

It is the cheaters whom Twitch is threatening to receive a strike on their account if they are caught.

According to Tech Times, the cheaters use unofficial programs that are often bots or software that spoof GPS which allows them to go around the main gameplay to go outside and catch Pokemon.

Twitch reminded gamers that using third-party apps breaches the streaming website’s Terms of Service. If they keep on repeating the offense, they would be suspended or terminated eventually. In a statement, the company reminded players that the Trainer guidelines of Niantic consider as cheating the use of modified or unofficial software or tools or techniques to alter or falsify location.

The Trainer Guideline has seven components, namely: respect the community, be respectful, respect privacy, adhere to the rules of the human world, avoid inappropriate content, no cheating and Twitch would enforce the Terms of Use and the guidelines.

Twitch said it would begin the crackdown on cheaters by Aug. 8. In the past, Twitch has repeatedly warned players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive by sending out cease-and-desist letters to communities that encourage participating in websites for Counter-Strike.
