Apple authorized resellers are ramping up on the MacBook deal packages that seemingly is in preparation for the rumored release date of the MacBook Pro 2016, and possibly for the refreshed MacBook Air too. The 2015 version of the former is now discounted by up to $569 while the Air 13-inch model of last year got even more affordable with $350 chopped off the tag.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro 2015 with the following configuration - 2.5GHz processing chip power, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space - is down to $1929.99 at eBay, which according to Apple Insider will be shipped out the seller free of charge. Total savings amount to $569 and the deal, the report added, is the lowest at the moment for the exact MPB 2015 model.
Just to boost the confidence of would-be buyers, the seller is certified by eBay as top rated and all orders will reach their destinations in fresh state with the firm assurance that "the systems are brand-new in the original packaging."
It's interesting to note too that the eBay offering, when compared to deals found on most Apple authorized resellers, still tops with buyers able to keep at least $370 of their hard-earned cash.
But for maximum saving, the best pick at the moment is the early 2015 MacBook Air with 13-inch screen and powered by the combo of 1.6GHz chip and 4GB of RAM. The disk space is fairly decent at 256GB, especially when considering the price that is down to $849 or discount of $350 from the current mark.
The deal, Apple Insider said, is courtesy of B&H, which will deliver the item at no cost at all with the likelihood of waived sales tax for orders outside of New York. Other MacBook Air deals are on the B&H table as well but the highlighted item stands out as the best bang for the buck.
With the new compelling MacBook sales offering popping out, rumors are again sparked that Apple will soon provide a 2016 step up for both the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The latter, in particular, badly needs a major bump even as speculations persist that the line is set to be discontinued.
That might be the case, BGR said in a report, noting too that numerous analysts are pointing to the same direction. But in case Apple will push out the clamored upgrades, the publication offered its simplified jump - do away with the 11-inch form factor, move the screen bezels further to the edge and include a discrete GPU.
Then price the MacBook Air 2016 no more than $1200 in order to lure buyers in great numbers, likely mostly coming from the student and blogging sectors, the report added.
As for the MacBook Pro 2016, speculations are rife that the high-end notebook will come out in 13-inch and 15-inch form factors, trimmer and lighter than ever and on release date, powered by MacOS Sierra and Intel Kaby Lake. Out of the box, the device is thought to boast Touch ID embedded on the power button, OLED touch bar and Siri for Mac.
