"Grey's Anatomy" lead star Ellen Pompeo recently shared which actors she wants to guest star in the hit ABC series, that is, if the decision is up to her.

While speaking with Good Housekeeping (via People), Pompeo said that her first choice would be Channing Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

"I love Jenna Dewan-Tatum. I tweeted one time to Shonda Rhimes that I thought that Jenna and Taylor Swift should dress up as cats and get stuck in a tree and Channing should show up in a firefighter uniform to come save them. Like why not? Like why can't we?" she said.

Meanwhile, even though Rhimes never agreed to Dewan-Tatum and Swift appearing in "Grey's Anatomy," Pompeo doesn't really mind because she has so much respect for the exec.

"We have a respect for each other that we've both survived this long. Still, we've disagreed on the direction for Meredith a hundred times. There were plenty of storyline I absolutely hated, and I was mad at her for them, but I always trusted her vision. She's the successful writer, not me. And if I'm as good an actor as I believe I am, it's up to me to make that scene everything it can be," she said.

In other news, Pompeo's real-life personality has resonated with her character and vice versa. However, throughout the course of the past 13 seasons, it has also changed tremendously.

"I would say now my answer is much less snarkier and much less sarcastic. I think the compassion that we both have for other human beings that I try to have every day for other people is something that we share," she said.

In other news, the filming for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 has already commenced. Just recently, Pompeo was spotted on set with her co-stars Debbie Allen, Sarah Drew, Jesse Williams, Camilla Luddington and Justin Chambers.

The officia title for season 13, episode 1 has also been confirmed as "Undo" by episode director Allen.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
