Stefan may be facing a formidable threat in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, alongside finding a way to save Damon and Enzo from the evil creature that has turned them into ravenous killing machines.

"The Vampire Diaries" stars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder recently slammed rumors that they are feuding with each other.

In fact, Pop Sugar just compiled some of the touching things the co-stars have said in reference to each other.

For instance, after finding out that Somerhalder was set to wed his then-fiancee Nikki Reed, Wesley joked over the fact that he and his co-star could no longer end up together.

"Now we can't get married and I'm sad about that. That's something I was looking forward to," he said.

Wesley also couldn't forget the first time he met Somerhalder because it took place when both of them went for fangs fitting. Since that moment, the co-stars have developed a strong bond with each other. The actor also joked that Somerhalder's name in his phone is "My Girl."

Meanwhile, Wesley also had such a hard time thinking of that one thing that makes him annoyed by Somerhalder. "I'm not as annoyed by you Ian as other people on set to be honest... You know how some people on set, they like chew gum loudly or don't know their lines or something?"

In other news, Somerhalder also has some strong, but positive words for his co-star. When asked which cast member he finds funniest, Somerhalder said that it's definitely Wesley even though the latter seems very boring-sounding during interviews.

When asked what Wesley's name on his phone is, Somerhalder said that it's Stefan as inspired by his "The Vampire Diaries" character.

"To be honest with you, everything that he does and I do pretty much. We spend every day together... We all know each other's buttons and we don't purposely push them because we have too much sh*t going on... We protect each other and we help each other... I find everything annoying about him and nothing at all," Somerhalder said in reference to Wesley.

Somerhalder and Wesley will reprise their respective roles in the eighth and final season of "The Vampire Diaries" in October. When The CW series returns, Stefan will try to save Damon from the dark side after he was trapped inside the Armory vault.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
