"Fifty Shades Darker" star Jamie Dornan recently shared why he decided to delete his Instagram account at the time when he was gaining popularity after being cast as Christian Grey.

While speaking with CBS News, Dornan said that he's been inactive on his social media accounts especially Instagram and Twitter because he's trying to stay away from Internet trolls who have nothing good to do.

"To be honest, I was very inactive on it in the last year. To delete my Instagram... I had to email my publicist to get the password. Twitter I used to have a bit of fun with back in the day but I think I've tweeted twice in the last year," he shared.

Dornan specifically said that he doesn't want other people to say bad things about him, his family and even his children who are practically innocent. "The more public interest in you, the more horrible people become. People start to say disgusting things about your family, about your children. What's the point?" he said.

Speaking of family, Dornan confirmed that his wife Amelia Warner joined him on the set of "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" far more than she did in "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Yeah, a couple of times on choice days. There were some days where it probably doesn't make a lot of sense for her to be hanging around," he said. Even though Dornan didn't elaborate on what exactly he meant by what he said, his fans believe that Warner was present when Dornan and his co-star Dakota Johnson filmed their sex scenes.

While the co-stars were at a beach in France, they filmed some of their steamy scenes by the water. Some photos that were released from set showed Dornan, Johnson and Warner spending some quality time at the beach in between takes.

In the end, Dornan is just happy that filming his scenes as Christian Grey is finally over. "It's satisfying to put an end to any job, I think, and to do two back to back, I think there's an element of relief that the work is done and you're happy with it."

"Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" are slated for release on Feb. 10, 2017 and Feb. 9, 2018 respectively.
