Julie Andrews would like to get spanked. The revelation came from the legendary actress herself, while talking to Kelly Ripa of the show "Live! With Kelly And Michael."

At the post-Oscar celebration, the 79-year-old Andrews was stopped by Ripa for a small chat to be aired later on her show. The veteran actress was quizzed if she had watched the movie "Fifty Shades Of Grey."

Andrews denied watching it, after which Ripa introduced few details about the flick. She joked that they had replicated a sex dungeon as shown in the movie.

"This is Gelman's tribute to that movie," Ripa told Andrews, while gesturing to a room nearby. "This is the Red Room. We made a Red Room back here. We're not gonna spank anybody here."

"Oh, well. I'd like it if you would," said the "Sound Of Music" star in her thick British accent, E! News reported. The veteran actress's quick and witty reply caught the show hostess off guard and the moment became one of the cheekiest ones of Oscars 2015.

Earlier in the evening at Oscars 2015, Andrews appeared on stage to applaud the heart touching performance of Lady Gaga. The newly engaged "Applause" hit maker was performing a medley of the popular tracks from Andrews' 1965 Academy Award-winning movie.

The medley included "The Sound of Music," "My Favorite Things," "Edelweiss," and "Climb Every Mountain." The singer was paying tribute to the popular movie "Sound Of Music" to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

As Lady Gaga's performance ended, the veteran actress made a surprise entry on stage amid deafening applause from the audience. Andrews gave Lady Gaga a tight embrace saying that Gaga's performance has warmed her heart.

Andrews is undoubtedly one of the most popular and successful actresses of yesteryears. With a bunch of other hit flicks like "Mary Poppins," "Hawaii," and "Torn Curtain," the actress has reportedly won a BAFTA, five Golden Globe, three Grammys and two Emmy awards.
