'Baahubali: The Beginning' soars Prabhas' fame in China

Indian actor Prabhas is now a household name in China that even legendary entertainment icon Jackie Chan reportedly inquired about the South superstar. That is courtesy of the epic adventure Indian 2015 film "Baahubali: The Beginning" which came to Chinese theaters on July 22.

"Baahubali: The Beginning" soared the fame of its lead star as he clicked with the audience in the country. The S.S. Rajamouli-directed film is likewise a hit in India and other countries overseas. They were just awestruck with the lead's martial arts skills and powerful performance.

The story of the film by Rajamouli revolves around a lost prince who came back to free his mother, the queen from the bondage of the tyrannical Bhallala Deva who took the kingdom from his elder brother. Prabhas' daredevil stunts and effortless martial arts performance in the film awed Chinese audience. The viewers were also thrilled in a scene when the actor trekked rocky mountains.

"Baahubali: The Conclusion," the second instalment of the film that still stars Prabhas is set to release in April 2017. Chinese moviegoers are eagerly looking forward to know why Kattappa killed Baahubali.

The cast and crew of "Baahubali: The Conclusion" are working to make it a grand finale. Prabhas is said to be giving his all to the movie project, working 16 hours daily at a stretch and trying to take the time to work out his chiselled body. He just loves to stay fit for the character.

The 36-year-old Indian actor will be seen in high octane stunts and that just require to be agile and super fit. The stunts are to be a lot ahead of what the viewers have seen in the first movie. Prabhas gained 20 kilos body weight in the first "Baahubali" which had the people swooned about and fell in love with him. He became more popular in the northern part of India, as well as in countries abroad, India Times reported.

Hence, the Indian actor has to work harder and double his preparation for "Baahubali 2." The upcoming movie is anticipated to break the record set by the first instalment. Known for his fit body for real, Prabhas was offered 5.5 crore or more than half a million United States dollars for a fitness brand, DNA India reported.
