Premier League 2016-2017: Leicester City vs Swansea City, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

Leicester City head coach Claudio Ranieri.

Defending champions Leicester City FC (0-1-1, 1 point) will look to get out of their current rut in the 2016-2017 Premier League season as they face Swansea City AFC (1-1-0, 3 points) at their home field of King Power Stadium on Aug. 27, Saturday.

Leicester City remained winless after two games in the recently-opened English top flight competitions to start their title defense on the wrong foot.

After dropping a 1-2 shocker to newly-promoted and undermanned squad Hull City AFC during their season-opener at the KCOM Stadium on Aug. 13, the Foxes then settled for a goalless draw with fellow contenders Arsenal FC at their home field last Saturday, as per The Guardian.

Leicester head coach Claudio Ranieri is said to be frustrated once again after the stalemate, but the 64-year-old Italian mentor is insistent that he is fine with some deemed non-calls during the match.

Midfielder Danny Drinkwater and striker Ahmed Musa felt they were fouled in separate plays late in the game, but the referees did not call them, thus saving the Gunners from two potential game-winning penalty kicks.

"I am not a manager who cries: 'Oh it was a penalty!' For me it was OK. The referee made a good performance. For me a penalty is when the referee whistles. He didn't," Ranieri said after the match.

Meanwhile, Swansea City was romped by Hull City, 0-2, at their own Liberty Stadium also last Saturday as the newcomers continue to surprise opponents in the first division domestic games this season, SkySports reported.

The Swans defeated Burnley, 1-0, in their own opener on Aug. 13, but could not stop the Tigers' midfielder Shaun Maloney and forward Abel Hernandez from scoring two goals late in the game at the 79th minute and in injury time to succumb to their first loss this season.

Head coach Francesco Guidolin's boys actually dominated ball possession almost the whole match but they just could not find the back of Eldin Jakupovic's net.

The Foxes are favored to win their first match this term in lopsided fashion against Swansea.

The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Leicester City.
